My Sunday Reflection
In many conversations with people experiencing conflict, I’m reminded of a simple yet profound truth: we often focus on the symptoms of a situation rather than addressing its root cause. For instance, we might walk into a messy home or witness someone having frequent emotional outbursts and immediately attribute it to laziness, anger, or even a bad temperament.

But how often do we pause to ask: What’s truly going on beneath the surface? In romantic relationships especially, we seldom consider the emotional or spiritual disconnection our partner may be experiencing. Instead of approaching with curiosity and compassion, we jump to conclusions and sometimes, judgment.
What would change if we chose to support our loved ones by asking about their emotional well-being, rather than simply reacting to their actions? By addressing the root causes, we open the door to deeper connection and healing.
Conflict can be an opportunity for growth when approached with love and understanding. Let’s challenge ourselves to go beyond surface-level assumptions and offer the kind of support that nurtures emotional and spiritual connection. After all, healing begins when we feel truly seen and supported.
